EEN KORTE GESCHIEDENIS

In 1961 verwierf de Tianjin Watch Factory beroemdheid in China door het vervaardigen van het eerste militaire horloge. Ze kregen vervolgens de belangrijke taak om het eerste Chinese luchtvaarthorloge te maken voor de Chinese Volksbevrijdingsleger Luchtmacht, bekend als Project “d304.”

Om dit te realiseren reisden ze naar Zwitserland, waar ze patenten en machines van de Zwitserse chronograaffabrikant Venus verwierven voor het Venus 175 kolomwiel-chronograaf.

Na jaren van experimenteren begon in 1962 de productie van het officiële Chinese luchtmacht-horloge, die in 1963 werd afgerond en zo de naam van het horloge inspireerde. De huidige Seagull 1963 Lume editie is een moderne vintage eerbetoon aan dit historisch belangrijke horloge, dat ooit werd gedragen door Chinese luchtmachtpiloten.

DE ZIEL VAN HET HORLOGE

Het ST19 uurwerk, een eerbetoon aan het vereerde Zwitserse Venus 175 uurwerk, heeft een rijke geschiedenis die teruggaat tot het midden van de 20e eeuw. Het is vervaardigd door de Tianjin Watch Factory met behulp van de originele machines uit de jaren vijftig en volledig met de hand geassembleerd. Het bevat 21 juwelen en heeft een robuuste gangreserve van 42 uur.

Wat het verbeterde Seagull ST19 uurwerk bijzonder maakt, is de Blue Swan Neck Regulator. Deze zwaannekregulator maakt een betere afstemming van het uurwerk mogelijk, wat zorgt voor een uiterst nauwkeurige tijdmeting.
