“The Seagull 1963 stands out with its exceptional value, rich military history, and classic midcentury design—a must-have for all watch collectors.”

A dual release: The definitive pilot’s chronograph, reborn.
In 1955, the Seagull 1963 defined an era as the nation’s first pilot’s chronograph. Today, the Icon II returns as a modern reinterpretation, refining the original design for a new generation while splitting the legacy into two distinct characters.
The Green Bronze Edition is designed to be a living record; its CuSn8 bronze case develops a unique patina that evolves with your personal journey. In contrast, the Blue Steel Edition is a study in permanence, offering the sharp brilliance of polished 316L stainless steel that never fades.
Though their exteriors differ, they share the same heart. Visible through the sapphire back, the Seagull ST1901 column-wheel movement powers both, descending directly from the historic Venus 175.
The Seagull 1963 Icon II in Blue defines itself through depth and clarity.
Its sunburst dial shifts from navy to deep indigo, framed by the sharp reflection of polished 316L stainless steel. The cream, sand-textured subdials provide a calm contrast, while brushed steel hands and numerals filled with Super-LumiNova bring the design to life after dark.
Above it all, the boxed sapphire crystal creates a gentle distortion at the edge, vintage in feeling, modern in strength.
It’s a watch that doesn’t ask for attention. It earns it.
Every element of the Seagull 1963 Icon II has been re-engineered for comfort and refinement.
The 46 mm lug-to-lug case wears effortlessly on the wrist, slimmer in profile thanks to a refined stainless-steel body and a thicker domed crystal. The case is fully polished, and every hand is finished with polished pinhole caps, details once reserved for haute horlogerie.
Beneath the sapphire back, the upgraded ST1901 movement reveals finer decoration, blued screws, and smooth column-wheel operation. Stronger Super-LumiNova, refined textures, and a Zermatt-lined leather strap complete a tactile experience designed to be felt every day.
Each piece is individually numbered and engraved, a small but lasting signature in the seventy-year story of the Seagull 1963.
Flip the watch over, and you’ll find the Seagull ST1901 hand-wound chronograph, visible through a sapphire exhibition back and finished to the highest standards we’ve ever applied.
Circular brushing sweeps across the bridges. The blue Swan Neck regulator allows for fine adjustment and smoother precision. The entire construction runs at 21,600 beats per hour, with a 48-hour power reserve, balancing beauty with reliability.
The ST1901 is descended from the historic Venus 175 movement brought to Tianjin in 1955, a living link to the earliest days of Chinese chronograph making. Every element serves a purpose. Every surface is finished for those who take their time looking.

‘With the majority of Swiss-made column-wheel chronographs housed in watches that cost at least $3,000, the Seagull 1963 is a true outlier in terms of value that also offers impressive military history and a charming midcentury design format.’
Teddy Baldassarre
