UNA BREVE STORIA

Nel 1961, la Tianjin Watch Factory guadagnò notorietà in Cina per aver realizzato il primo orologio militare del Paese. Successivamente ricevette un incarico storico: creare il primo orologio da aviazione cinese per l’Aeronautica dell’Esercito Popolare di Liberazione, noto come Progetto “d304”.

Per raggiungere questo obiettivo, i tecnici si recarono in Svizzera, dove acquistarono i brevetti e i macchinari dal produttore svizzero Venus per il movimento cronografico a ruota a colonne Venus 175.

Dopo anni di ricerca e sperimentazione, la produzione dell’orologio ufficiale dell’Aeronautica cinese iniziò nel 1962 e si concluse nel 1963, anno che ispirò il nome del celebre segnatempo.

Oggi, il Seagull 1963 Blue Panda Sport Edition rappresenta un omaggio moderno e sportivo a quell’iconico cronografo, mantenendone lo spirito vintage e il valore storico. Indossare questo orologio significa portare al polso un autentico frammento della storia dell’orologeria militare cinese.

L’Anima Dell’Orologio

Il movimento ST19, omaggio al venerato movimento svizzero Venus 175, ha una ricca storia che risale alla metà del XX secolo. Realizzato dalla Tianjin Watch Factory utilizzando le macchine originali degli anni ’50 e completamente assemblato a mano, presenta 21 rubini e una robusta riserva di carica di 42 ore.

Ciò che rende speciale il movimento Seagull ST19 aggiornato è il suo regolatore a collo di cigno blu. Questo regolatore consente una regolazione più precisa del movimento dell’orologio, garantendo una misurazione del tempo impeccabile.

Il cronografo meccanico a carica manuale ST1901 opera in modo fluido a una frequenza di 21.600 battiti all’ora, con una riserva di carica di circa 42 ore a piena carica. Per i collezionisti che apprezzano un mix di tradizione e precisione, il Seagull ST19 è un must-have, un pezzo di storia custodito in un orologio finemente lavorato.

The vintage design looks super slick and it's clear that a lot of care and attention to detail went into the creation of this timepiece. I just wanted to own a piece of history and with this funky version of the seagull, I felt like it was the perfect combi for me of a watch that's based on the historic 1963 but with a new fun twist. The stainless steel case feels sturdy and well-built, and the mechanical movement is both reliable and accurate after a few months of using it so would so I'm happy with this
