UNA BREVE HISTORIA

En 1961, la Fábrica de Relojes de Tianjin ganó fama en China por fabricar el primer reloj militar del país. Luego, se le encomendó una tarea de gran importancia: crear el primer reloj de aviación chino para la Fuerza Aérea del Ejército de Liberación Popular, conocido como Proyecto “d304”.

Para lograrlo, viajaron a Suiza, donde adquirieron patentes y maquinaria del fabricante suizo de cronógrafos Venus, específicamente para el cronógrafo de rueda de pilares Venus 175. Tras años de experimentación, la producción del reloj oficial de la Fuerza Aérea China comenzó en 1962 y concluyó en 1963, lo que inspiró su nombre.

La actual Seagull 1963 Black Edition es un tributo moderno de estética vintage a esta pieza históricamente vital, alguna vez usada por los pilotos de la Fuerza Aérea China.

Fabricado por la Fábrica de Relojes de Tianjin utilizando la maquinaria original de los años cincuenta y completamente ensamblado a mano, cuenta con 21 rubíes y una sólida reserva de marcha de 42 horas.

Lo que hace especial al movimiento mejorado Seagull ST19 es su regulador de cuello de cisne azul. Este tipo de regulador permite un ajuste más preciso del movimiento del reloj, garantizando una medición del tiempo altamente exacta.

El cronógrafo mecánico de cuerda manual ST1901 funciona con suavidad a una frecuencia de 21,600 alternancias por hora, con una reserva de marcha de aproximadamente 42 horas con la cuerda completa. Seagull 1963 Black Edition

The Seagull 1963 Black Edition is a beautiful watch that has a permanent black coated case, a champagne dial, and provided with a quite elastic and comfortable parastrooper strap (even though harder to set than a NATO imo). It seems to be working well alongside the chronograph function, which is easy to trigger and stop with the push buttons.
The movement ST19 with Swan Neck is also very pleasant to watch through the transparent case back.
Finally, it was shipped and delivered to France very quickly, in just 4 days. The packaging was solid and the watch box well presented, which is a welcomed nice touch.
