Eine kurze Geschichte

Im Jahr 1961 erlangte die Tianjin Watch Factory in China große Bekanntheit, als sie die erste Militäruhr des Landes entwickelte. Kurz darauf wurde ihr eine bedeutende Aufgabe anvertraut – die Entwicklung der ersten chinesischen Fliegeruhr für die Luftwaffe der Volksbefreiungsarmee, bekannt als Projekt „d304“.

Um dies zu verwirklichen, reiste das Team in die Schweiz und sicherte sich Patente sowie Maschinen des Schweizer Chronographenherstellers Venus für das Venus 175 Säulenrad-Chronographenwerk.

Nach Jahren der Entwicklung begann 1962 die Produktion der offiziellen Fliegeruhr für die chinesische Luftwaffe und wurde 1963 abgeschlossen – was auch den Namen der Uhr inspiriert hat.

Die heutige Seagull 1963 White Panda ist eine moderne, vintage-inspirierte Hommage an diese historisch bedeutende Uhr, die einst von chinesischen Luftwaffenpiloten getragen wurde.
